He was the beloved husband of Marcia Murchison for 38 years and the loving father of Kelly Murchison, Sari and Dave Husmann, Don and Diane Murchison and Britten and Todd Wadler. The loved brother of Donald and his wife Sue and brothers Terry and Brad Murchison. Devoted Grandfather of D.G. Gardner, Kyle Murchison and Britlyn Husmann. Preceded in death by his father, Donald L. A Sacramento native of 61 years, Grant graduated from El Camino High School in 1958, attended college at San Jose State and served in the Coast Guard Reserve. He was the President of Murchison Construction Company in Sacramento and Hawaii, where he and his family enjoyed living for 8 years. Grant was an active Mason and was a member of the Warren G. Harding Lodge. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite, Ben Ali Shrine Temple, and the Royal Order of the Jesters. He proudly served on the Board of Governors of the Shriners Hospitals for Children for 11 years. Grant loved playing golf during his youth and through all his adult years. He was a member of Del Paso Country Club and served on the Board of Directors. The ocean, the mountains, animals, and sharing good times with his family and many friends were the things he cherished the most. Please join his family in celebrating his life Tuesday, March 12 at 10:00 AM at East Lawn Mortuary, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento, with a gathering to follow at Arden Hills C.C. The family asks that remembrances be made to the Sacramento Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2425 Stockton Blvd Sacramento, CA, 95817.

My deep sympathy to you Marcia, Kelly & Sari and family. Grant, my children's father, Michael Hill, and I attended El Camino High School and graduated together in 1958. Our sons, Mike and Mark, played with the girls when they were all small & we all lived on Heatherdale Lane in Carmichael. Grant was a fine man. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Such a Wonderful Guy... He will be sadly missed by many. I went to school with Grant in the 50's..My wife and I played golf with Grant and his Wife Marsha during the 90's, and I also had some business dealings with him in the middle 90's. We did not know he was ill....Our condolances to the family....Harold & Fran Stroud
