BERMUDEZ, Jose Jesus
May 2, 1918 - Sept. 11, 2011
Died peacefully on September 11, 2011 in Sacramento, CA at the age of 93. Jose was born in Managua, Nicaragua and immigrated to the U.S. in the 1940's. He was a long time resident of San Francisco, Pacifica, American Canyon and Sacramento.
Jose always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. His greatest joy was his grandchildren and they adored him.
He is survived by wife Manuela Victoria; his daughters Luz Marina, Sandra Del Soccorro & Patricia Victoria, his eldest sister Erlinda Martinez, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren & many loved ones.
Services celebrating Jose's life will begin with a visitation to be held at East Lawn Elk Grove Mortuary located at 9189 East Stockton Blvd. in Elk Grove on Thursday, September 15, 2011 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
A Rosary will be held at the same location at 4 p.m.
A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Chapel in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, 6700 21st Ave., Sacramento, CA on Friday, September 16, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you please make a donation to the Charity of your choice.

Although I only knew you for a short time you definitely had an impact on me. You had a bright personality and a charm with the ladies. Grandpa Jose was a kind and loving Grandfather. He is remembered with love even though we had not seen him in the past few years. He had a loving, humorous spirit that would make people smile when he entered a room. He was the sweet & funny "Papa" that his grandkids loved to hug and will never forget. He was a nuturing, caring "Pop" to his daughters that will miss him SO very much. Descansa en paz, querido Pop, con much besitos!
