Sacramento, California - Leah Died peacefully the afternoon of November 18, 2024. Leah was born April 2, 1938 in Washington, DC. She moved to Oakland, California where she attended high school and lived with her aunt Verdie and her five cousins. She subsequently met Hewitt Robinson. They married and had three children.

Leah had a long a fulfilled career working in various state agencies as her career progressed into high level positions in various state agencies such as the State Personnel Board, Department of Health and Human Services, Water Resources, and the Department of Corrections working in the prisons as an advocate for minority women's equal opportunity concerns. Leah was also immersed in social work and enjoyed assisting clients who were in need of financial, health and housing.

In retirement, Leah focused on the blessing of time with her beautiful grandchildren whom she adored! She also enjoyed traveling and was always flying off to one adventure after another. She was a loving mother to three children, Anthony, Laurice, Rochelle with her loving husband Hewitt. Her grandchildren whom she loved dearly are Mina (Mike), Antaeus (Eva), Michelle (Jonathan), Adrian, Zachary and Aaron and her great grandchildren Michael, Layla and Jenna.

A Celebration of Life will be held January 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., at Center of Praise, Legacy Center located at 2324 L Street Sacramento CA 95816. Parking lot on 23rd Street between Capital and L Street.
