Linda Novak Obituary

"I love to dance!" she often exclaimed, with a wink and a clap of her hands, followed by her pointing right atcha! That was the essence of this big-hearted gal we all came to know as Hurricane Linda. Linda Rae Novak, 77, born to Otha & Ethel Burton in Oroville, CA passed away peacefully on June 29, 2018 in San Mateo, CA. Linda was married to the love of her life, Bob Novak (dec. 2016) for 57 years. She will be missed deeply by her son, Michael; daughter, Lisa and her wife Robin; son, Patrick and his wife Lorraine and their children Brian, Trevor, Kenny, and Tiffany. Recognized for her rambunctious and loving spirit, "Hurricane Linda" was happiest cracking jokes with her family, taking tropical cruises, drinking a cold glass of boxed wine, playing penny slots, and causing mischief with her besty Typhoon Carol. When those two ladies blew into town, it was time to batten down the hatches and cross your fingers as you waited for the calm after the storm. Damn, they had fun!! Fun is how almost everyone describes Linda, who was also kind, loving and downright silly at times. Linda will be missed by all--but her memory will continue to fill any room with laughter. Burial service will take place Thursday, July 12 at 1:30pm at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery.
