Mark Scheib Obituary

SCHEIB, MARK T.
Born in Bucklin, KS May 20, 1961, Mark unexpectedly passed away Sunday, Feb 17, 2002, while on vacation in South Lake Tahoe. He was the owner and operator of Fabulous in Sacramento. Mark attended school at Kansas University in Lawrence, Kansas. He and his partner, Bob Lystrup, met in Kansas City, MO. In 1992 Mark and Bob moved to Sacramento and established Fabulous. His talent as an artist creating beautiful and unusual floral arrangements is known throughout the Sacramento area. Our lives will never be the same without Mark. Mark is survived and deeply missed by his partner of 20 yrs, Bob Lystrup of Sacramento; parents, Maxiene and Harry Scheib of Liberal, KS; brothers, Bryan Hensley and wife Diane of Liberal, KS, Bryce Hensley and wife Sheila of Little Rock, AR, Brandt Hensley and wife Linda of Dodge City, KS; sisters, Lynda Brothers and husband Denis of Powell, WY, Anita Carroll and husband Bob of Liberal, KS. Mark was also loved and will be missed by the Lystrup family: Bob and Billie Lystrup, Jennifer, Cydne Lystrup and Anthony Pease, Laura Lystrup, husband Neil MacMullan, and children Annie and Chelsea MacMullan, all from Sacramento. The hundreds of dear friends that Mark had are also deeply hurting from his passing. Funeral services were held in Bucklin, KS. There will be a celebration of Mark's life on Saturday March 2, 2002 at 3:00 at McKinley Park in the Garden and Art Center, located at 3330 McKinley Blvd. All friends and family are invited to join in celebrating the life of a truly great man.

Mark, you were a truly wonderful man, with so many wonderful talents, you had a talent for art- to turn the most unusual thing into a master piece, a talent for love- you found the person who respected you and loved you the way no-one else could and you gave the same back in return, you had a talent of touching peoples hearts- make friends around every bind and every turn and because of that this is one friend that will never let that go. In every thing I do you will be there helping me through- rest in peace my talented friend!

I din't know Mark, But I met Bob through my partner Doug McVey. I hear he was a master at his art. The world needs more people in it like Mark to make it the place it should be.

Mark, my dearest of friends, thank you for the love and light you brought into my life. You were young, but so wise. My heart grieves. I will continue to love you all the days of my life. It will be a beautiful day when we meet again. Rest in peace.
