Michael Langan Obituary

LANGAN, Michael George April 3, 1952 - July 9, 2014 Michael Langan was born on April 3, 1952 and passed away peacefully on July 9, 2014 while visiting relatives in Minnesota. Michael was born, the eldest of 12 children, to George and Norene (Mitz) Langan in Gregory, South Dakota. Michael moved with his parents and siblings to Carmichael, CA in 1960. He lived in the Sacramento area until his death. Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Mitz Langan, and his nephew, Richard W. Guthrie, Jr. He is survived by his father, George M. Langan, his 11 brothers and sisters, Mitzi Guthrie, Randy, Rich, Sandy VanderPol, Andrea Barrows, Lance, Rosemary Sue, Claudia Neal, Kim, Greg, and Penny Cimino; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Michael graduated from El Camino High School in 1970. In 1971 Michael enlisted in the Navy and served as a Nuclear Reactor Operator on the USS Dace (SSN-607) submarine until 1977. After his military service Michael attended and graduated from Capital Christian Center Bible School. Michael will be remembered for his devotion to his parents, his religion, and his love for his family.
