Mr Merriam was truly a source of love and inspiration to be more than what I knew; he was a man who was able to teach the hurting and do it through kindness and understanding entirely. I'm grateful for my lessons on guitar with Mr Merriam. I'm grateful that I had the pleasure of meeting Mr and Mrs Merriam together. I truly wish I could find the words to describe the way Mr Merriam helped me to see I could be more in life, and to look at others with compassion. Mr Merriam was truly a blessing to all of us from God. I would go so far as to say he was a beacon of love that God gave to us, and I'm grateful I got to experience that light in my life. My heart will never forget what they taught me, or the kind words of encouragement Mr Merriam said to me. 16 years later I still think about the things he taught me. His impact in my life remains positive and sustaining of love. I can't possibly express how much love and care this man put into the world, other than to say it was the truest representation of man channeling Gods love I have witnessed in my life.

I have many memories of standing in rapt awe and attention as Paul and Victor lead the congregation in lively worship. My dear Lou Anne, I can feel with you the loss of not being with someone you love dearly. I pray for you the comfort of your Creator's heart. Perhaps we'll be able to exchange skills in Heaven. Paul will become a better driver. I will become a more proficient musician. Shalom.

I have know Paul and Lou Anne my whole life. I have so many amazing memories of spending time in sacramento with them. From a young girl up until I was married and creating a life of my own. Paul was always readily available with a story or a joke. He and my dad would sit and play guitar for hours. I loved the smell of his workshop upstairs, all the leather. He scared my husband to death when he drove us around Sacramento. I, having grown up with his driving skils was used to it, my husband was not so much. Paul just had a tendency to get distracted and excited. He was so loved by so many and will be so missed.

Precious Lou Anne, 'Pray California' and I were so very blessed to have your passionate and faithful husband on our Shofar Team! I loved Paul's excitement and his deep love for the LORD and His Word.
May Ruach HaKodesh continue to fill that big empty hole in your heart with MORE of His Peace and Presence...I look forward to one day worshiping YESHUA in person with him...he's got a head start on us!
Love and gentle hugs, Dear Sister...

God give you all grace at this time and evermore, sis. Lou Anne, and so sorry to keep you up late that night Paul & I chatted & laughed at your house in Sacto so many years ago. Remembering also the time spent at Dayton's cabin together, all 6 of us, and all the awesome worship music and dance troupe blessings of the fellowship times at New Hope!
