Pauline DEVINE Obituary
DEVINE, Pauline Marie
Of Orangevale, CA, June 13, 2014, a native of Berkeley, CA, age 73 years. Pauline worked for Bank of America for 24 years. She is the loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose family is truly her passion. She volunteered her time at Divine Savior Catholic Church, and served on the bereavement committee. She is lovingly survived by her husband of 53 years, Michael Devine, her children Thomas (Toni) Devine, David Devine, and Michele (Dan) Allen, her grandchildren Chevelle, Thomas, and Danny, and her sister Marie Swenson. Friends are invited to attend the recitation of the Rosary Tue., June 17, 2014 at 11AM with the Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at Noon at DIVINE SAVIOR CATHOLIC CHURCH (9079 Greenback Lane, Orangevale).

The first time I met Pauline was at Camp Cazadero, with Marianne Smith Mulvey and Marie Treacy, in the summer before our freshman year. Pauline was then and always there with a big smile on her face and always something nice to say. She will be missed by all that were lucky to have known her. Such sweet memories I have of one of my "Woodmore Oaks moms" - PB&J and Bewitched after school... So blessed to have been able to see her a couple summers ago during a very happy time. She was always so joyful and positive. My sincerest condolences and prayers to the whole family.

My friendship with Pauline began about eight years ago when I was spending lots of time in Fair Oaks with my sister. I so enjoyed knowing Pauline and working with her at Divine Saviour Church during my visits/stays with my sister. Pauline's warmth was irresistible. Her love of family, pride in her grandson's racing and deep love for Mike were the most memorable aspects of her personality. I will miss Pauline. I already do.
