Randy Russell Inks obituary, Sacramento, CA

Randy Inks Obituary

Randy passed away peacefully at his home in Folsom, CA. on August 14, 2016, where he resided for the past 5 years. He was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. attending many local schools: Riverside, Sutterville Elementary and Kailua Elementary on Oahu, Arden and Jonas Salk School, then on to Rio Americano High School. Randy's life was full of travel and adventure. He was a true wit and loved to make people laugh, through story-telling, practical jokes and silly antics. He worked for Inks' Markets in Lake Tahoe and Van's Markets in Sacramento. Owned and operated Randy's A&W/ Randy's Beefalo on Munroe Street before driving truck for Fleming Foods. Later in life he became interested and owned many horses and participated in the Harness Races for over 5 years. His favorite and last job in 09/10 was caretaker for HomeStake Trout Club in Leadville, CO. Randy was an avid golfer with two hole-in-ones to his credit. He even won a car in the Mercy Hole-in-one Tournament. He too loved to fish along with camping and hiking. The many animals Randy and his family owned throughout his life were his critter blessings--dog's being his favorite, until he became a horseman, but there was not a creature that did not capture a bit of his heart. His parents Russell and Doris Inks preceded him in passing, along with his older sisters, Marilyn Amable and Loretta Stathos. He is survived by his sister Susan Inks Montgomery. His children Robby Russell, Jodi Jeanette and grandchildren Travis Tyler, Matthew Morgan and Cara Christian, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Any remembrance may be made in his name to Shriners Hospitals for Children on Stockton Blvd., SPCA or a charity of your choice.
