IWASAKI, RICHARD
SHIGERU, Ph.D.
Passed away unexpectedly in his sleep at home in Palos Verdes Estates August 16, 2002. Beloved husband of Dr. T. Gwen Iwasaki. Loving father of Julie Iwasaki and Lisa Iwasaki. Devoted son of Yoshie Iwasaki of West Sacramento and the late Nathan Iwasaki. Dear brother of Jane (Morris) Kosakura of Concord and Phyllis Iwasaki of West Sacramento. Caring uncle to many nieces and nephews. Also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and cherished friends. Graduate of Clarksburg High School who attained his electrical engineering degree and membership in Tau Beta Pi from UC Berkeley and his Ph.D. from UCLA. Active member of the Palos Verdes Breakfast Club. Memorial services will be held in Sacramento on August 24, 2002 at the Sacramento Buddhist Betsuin, 2401 Riverside Boulevard, Sacramento 95818 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial services will also be held at the Gardena Buddhist Church on August 29, 2002. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Richard S. Iwasaki, Ph.D. Memorial Scholarship Fund at Malaga Bank: 2415 Via Tejon, Palos Verdes Estates, CA 90274. Account #0116026200.
