Teruko "Terry" Makishima
October 25, 1927 - February 1, 2021
Sacramento, California - Teruko "Terry" Makishima, a lifelong resident of Sacramento, passed away peacefully in her home. Terry was raised on a farm in Florin, California. She graduated from Sacramento City College and later worked for the State of California. Terry loved to cook, entertain, and host large holiday parties. Terry had a philanthropic and selfless heart and dedicated much of her time to local community organizations. She was known for her kindness and generosity and will be missed by all that knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, George. She is survived by sons Dale, Paul(Katie), Craig(Elke), and Royce; granddaughters Brianna, Yoshi, Ava, Annabel, and Macie; grandsons Kristofer and Mack; and siblings Emi Watanabe and Jun Miyano. Due to Covid-19 concerns, a private service was held. In lieu of gifts or flowers, the family is requesting donations made in Terry's name to The Fairytale Town Memorial Fund (http://www.fairytaletown.org/Makishima).

Terry was one of the great ones. An easy and welcoming smile and manner. Good cook, too!
