Barbara Ann Link, 62, of Rockwell, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at her home in Rockwell, NC. She was born on June 14, 1958 in Cabarrus County to Abbie Rice Upright and the late Ray "Shorty" Upright. Barbara was disabled but at jack of all trades during the course of her life. Barbara didn't meet strangers, you became family. She loved life to the fullest and always had a smile on her face. Her daughter and grandson Austin meant the world to her and she was the proudest MawMaw of her Monk. Her lil man came into her life 2 years ago and he had wrapped from day one, she was now Mawmaw Barb. She was preceeded in death by son, Stevie Crain; granddaughter, Stevie Lee Jackson; adopted daughter, Jennifer Allen; son in law, Justin Jackson; and 5 brothers, Bill, Tom, Dan, Mike and Jimmy. She is survived by her husband, Walter Link; her only daughter, Abbie Crain Jackson and one grandson, Austin Burchette both of Rockwell; and mawmaw to her lil man, Isiash Archer. She is also survived by 4 sisters, Shelia West of Rockwell, Lisa(Keith) Ijames of Gold hill, Linda Martin of Granite Quarry, and Debbie (Gary) Fesperman; a brother, Doug Upright of Rockwell; her first husband, Steven Crain, step daughter, Jessica Crain, step son, Joshua Crain all of Durham; and a cousin, Stephen Shuffler. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 17, 2020, 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm at Powles Staton Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 17, 2020, in the Powles Staton Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by, Pastor Jeff Upright.
