I wont be able to make the service today but I wanted to leave something for Uncle Louis and all of his friends and family. I love all of you!

We are all just like balloons
Different colors, sizes and shapes
Swinging and dancing with the breeze
For as long as we can take

A vibrant and beautiful shell with our spirits nestled inside.
We ebb and flow with each of our winds
Through hail storms and sun shine

Your balloon was especially bright
Full of love and smiles to the brim
Your presence so strong and infectious
That it drew all OUR balloons in

We swayed and floated together
Sometimes spreading and drifting through space.
But no matter how long or far we strayed
Our strings still came from the same place.

But at some point our strings turn us 'loose
After holding so strong all that time
And were freed to drift and find our way home
Leaving all other balloons behind.

After we watch you rise higher and higher
The winds seem too much to bear
But over time the storm comes to rest
And memories of you become clear

We remember your love
We remember your smiles
And even the way that you dressed.
And we can find peace
Knowing you are at ease
And finally able to rest.

Your balloon may be gone
And your string become lax
But theres one thing I know will still be
That the warmth of your love
And the vibrance you'd bring
Will forever live on inside me.

For you uncle Louis,
Love, Jazz
