Beryl Ruesch Obituary

Ruesch 1935 ~ 2004  HEBER CITY - Beryl Ruesch, our loving wife and mother, passed away August 19, 2004 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  Beryl was born June 13, 1935 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Harry and Mabel Walker. She worked in California for several years as a hospital clerk and married David Arthur Ruesch in Tustin, California on August 12, 1972. The marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles Temple. At the age of 37, Beryl gave birth to her first child. Arthur did not survive. Her son, David was born when she was 40 and her daughter, Dawn, was born when she was 42. She always felt extremely blessed to have these children.  Beryl and her family moved from California to Heber City, Utah in 1982 when her husband retired from the LA County Sheriff's Department. Beryl loved the beauty of the state and the people. She was a woman of great faith and courage. She was steadfast and very dedicated to her family, church, country, and friends. Her personality radiated her sweet disposition to do her best for her family.  Her family is very grateful to the many medical workers who were extremely kind to her and helped to extend her life for many years. The outpouring of help and love extended to her by her friends, neighbors, and fellow church members was quite overwhelming and greatly appreciated.  Beryl is survived by: her loving husband, David Arthur Ruesch, of Heber City; son, David Paul Ruesch (Heather), of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; daughter Dawn Marie Ruesch, of Heber City; and brother Jack Walker (Margo), of Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Mabel Walker, and brother Robert Walker.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2004, 11:00 a.m. at the Heber LDS 1st ward, 500 N. 500 East, Heber City. Friends and family are welcome to attend a visitation held from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will take place in the Heber City Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, Heber City. Condolences and memories may be sent to the family at  [email protected]

My most heartfelt sympathies are with the Ruesch Family at this time. I went to school with David and always enjoyed my time at their home. I will always remember Sister Ruesch's attention to my younger sister Katie and asking about the members of my family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
