Carlos I. Mejia (47) beloved husband of Diana (Ospina) Mejia, passed away suddenly on November 6, 2018 at his home in Bristol, CT from heart failure. Carlos was born in Oaxaca, Mexico on March 14, 1971 and was the son of Jesus and Elisa Rojas.
Carlos was raised in Utah where he graduated from Kearns High School and attended the University of Utah. He moved to Bristol ten years ago. In 2004 he met the love of his life, Diana, while working at Telemundo Network in Miami. Carlos and Diana were happily married since 2008. He was a loving husband, son, brother, amazing father and exceptional human being. He was in the T.V. industry for 29 years and most currently worked as a show director at ESPN and was continually working towards his career dreams. His colleagues described him as very talented, enthusiastic and energetic. Carlos was well liked and a friend to all. He will be terribly missed.
In addition to his wife and parents, Carlos is survived by his son, Carlos Mejia; his daughter; Isabel Mejia; three sisters: Mirna Rojas, Araceli Adams, Maritza Erickson and her husband Cameron; 6 nieces and nephews; and a grand-nephew. He was predeceased in death by his father, Ismael Carlos Mejia, and by his brother: Jesus Rojas, Jr.
A Mass will be celebrated for him on Friday, November 16, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. at St. Francis Xavier, 4501 W. 5215 So., Kearns, UT. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at St. Francis Xavier. Burial to follow the Mass at Murray City Cemetery, 5490 So. Vine Street, Murray, UT.
