Mr. and Mrs. Roman
I attended Davis High until I graduated last June. I didn't know Chandler too well, but him and I had made eye contact several times. I was more of a shy person and stuck closely to my group of friends It seems I saw Chandler many, many times and even though we never made conversation, I felt I could call him a friend. Now because of this small, kind act done by Chandler, I have felt I've had someone supporting me in every move I'd made. I thank you for raising such a great young man, he has helped me so much. I will always remember his generosity and kind spirit. I am deeply sorry for your loss, I will always remember your son and will pray for you and your family in this time of need. Again, thank you so much for raising such a wonderful young man.

dear family, i never knew your son but my daughter did, Kaite was very shy and she remembers Chandler as being nice to her. She said he was the only popular kid that was nice to every one- he made her day on several occasions just by his teasing and "hi in the halls" thank you for this- these special children mean alot to those of us with very shy kids.

It is clear to see that Chandler's life was full of much happiness and light as I have read about him and the notes from others. Having three sons of my own, I can not imagine to understand what feelings are in your hearts. Take courage in our Heavenly Fathers plan and as each day passes may you be able to have a deep understanding of that sacred plan. What a comfort to know that he was met my beloved family members. My hear felt thoughts are with you.

Tony and Meralee,
Mike and I were so sorry to hear about Chandler. We had lost touch with you guys since your move to Kaysville, except through your parents. We saw how much he was loved by the number of people who were at the viewing last night. I have never seen so many youth who were visibly shaken by his death. He was loved very much by his peers. That tells a lot about him and how he had acquired the same kindness and empathy that his parents have always had.

We love you guys and pray that you will be comforted at this terrible time by the knowledge that you will be together again and that he was evidently called on his mission to the other side of the veil.

Tony & Mera Lee,
When we had our last son, I was looking for a name in the dictionary. When I came to Chandler, it mentioned that the word referred to a candle maker or a maker of light. I loved that sentiment and chose it for our sons name. I think that name was very appropriate for your son Chandler. As witnessed by the outpouring of love shown at his passing, he brought light and happiness to everyone that had the blessing of knowing him. Our prayers are with you and your family. You will be together again.

Mera Lee and Tony
I am so sorry to hear of your tragic loss. My heart aches along with yours. Reading through the guest book gave me a sense of what a wonderful spirit God gave to the two of you to teach and to love. Although the time was short, God blessed you every day that He shared Chandler's loving spirit with you. May you receive the strength you need at this time knowing that your Chandler is a special spirit of the Lord, and has completed his task here on earth. I know that you will miss his earthly presence but his spirit is with you always. Your Family will be in my prayers.

Dearest Roman Family:
Our sons grew up together, attended Morgan Elemenary and Fairfield Jr. High but then lost touch as each other attended different High Schools. Chandler has been to our home many times and our son to yours and our memories of Chandler are filled with laughter and happiness. He packed a lot of life into his young 18 years. He lived life to the fullest and we are blessed in our lives for having met Chandler and had him as a friend. He will be missed by all who have had the pleasure of meeting him. He has such charm and energy that rarely is found in a person so young. Our hearts are filled with his memory and may you find joy in knowing how much Chandler meant to so many. His loss is great and our memories of him will last forever. Our love to your family.

Chandler and I were really good friends, especially through our years at Fairfield Junior High. We had so many inside jokes that I will miss dearly. The one thing I will miss the most about Chandler though is always seeing his smiling face. Even when you hadn't seen him in a while, he would always make sure to say hi to you in the halls and ask how you were doing. He was always so positive and made sure to make you laugh. We always had a good time with Chandler. I can't even express how much I am going to miss seeing him around. Thanks Chandler for what a great example you have set for me of being a sincere, nice person and being a great friend to everybody. I love ya buddy and will miss you so much! P.S. Abraham Lincoln

Hey, Chandler!

What great talks we had! You're still going to be a missionary, just not in the way we both hoped. There are still many souls who need you. Your life experiences will help others come to know the Savior and they will know of the sweet peace the gospel brings. You'll always be in my heart.

We may not know each other but your son, brother, friend, cousin Chandler is with you forever! I am so sorry to hear about your loss of such a vibrant and amazing young man! No words are able to express the pain and sadness that you all must be feeling at this time! Chandler is with you all helping you through this trial! I lost my twin brother 18 years old in an automobile accident 2 1/2 years ago and so i understand what it is like to lose such a wonderful and kind young man like your son! His obit was filled with such loving and heart felt words and his picture shown with a brightness and a smile that could brighten any room he entered. He will surely be missed by so many but always remember that he is now your guardian angel and will be with you always! "Angels are never too distant to hear you!" Some words i leave with you along with my prayers of peace and comfort for you all at this time! Stay close to the Lord! He will never leave you to handle this by yourself!

"Heaven gives its favorites- early death!"

With my love and prayers

You do not know me but I felt the need to let you know that you are not alone in the loss that you feel. We lost my 16 year old nephew, Justen Hale, just over 5 months ago in an automobile rollover in Summit County. He like your son was full of life and very involved at his high school. This by far is one of the hardest things you will go through in this life. We are so grateful as a family for our memories and for our belief that we will see him again. You too will see your son again someday. Families are Forever. We try to focus on the good things that have come since our loss and there are many! You will recieve help and strength from many people. People that you may not even know now. There will be hard days ahead. Someone told me that the pain does not go away, you just learn to live with it. I am so sorry for your loss and your family will be in my prayers.
