I can't tell you how much Duston's life and passing has impacted me. I am so full of conflicting feelings right now. I am happy to have known him. I am also so buried in grief that I never told him the influence he had on me. His kindness in defending the defenseless was an amazing example.
My gratitude and my sympathies go to his folks and his daughter and his extended family.
Duston, thank you! A persons life is his time, and you unselfishly shared yours with myself and so many people it's unreal. You are a part of too many people to ever know how big you are. Thanks again man. I owe you.

As Mrs. Brittney Dawson (Moyer) has stated, you don't have to be close to somone to feel their genuine personality and how people can affect your lives in such a profound way. My prayers go out to the Riley family that HE may comfort them and help with the grieving process.

We are just brokenhearted for the Riley and Skinner families. I still remember holding Duston when he was a baby, and fondly recall watching him grow up. What a great kid from a great family. Steve and Tonya, we can’t imagine what you’re going through right now, but our hearts & prayers are with you.

Steve and Tanya,

Please accept our condolences for your loss of Dustin. Our hearts ache for you and want you to know we love you, we are thinking of you and we are praying for you. The girls felt so bad when they heard the news about Dustin; they all started talking about all the fond memories they have of of him and you. They loved to take Pepper on walks and loved going over to your house for a treats, you were so good to them and you played such a big part in their young lives. At the time, their entire world was our home and every house surrounding us; know that we love you and appreciate the blessing you’ve been to our family. We have a video of a Sunday school party at our home where Dustin is holding one of the twins, when they were tiny. He was so tender and gentle with them, I’m sure he was the same way with Allison. May God bless you and comfort you with his peace, his loving kindness, and his tender mercies.

All our love,

Dave, Deby, Alex, Liz, Katherine, Maryann, Sarah and Christine

With tearful eyes
And heavy hearts,
We struggle with the loss,
The passing of
The one we love,
So hard to understand.

We wonder why,
The time has come,
For God
To call him home,
We do not know,
But must believe,
Have faith in what He's planned.

We know that God
Will love him so,
And care
For all his needs,
We know one day,
You'll smile with joy,
Together once again.

DR had a laugh that truly was infectious and when a smile glowed upon his face, a whole room warmed. I have many seemingly small memories tucked away of him, stashed here and there. They don't recollect any particular incident or occurance. Instead they leave me with an overwhelming feeling. To be in the company of Duston was to be in the company of a friend. My condolences and sympathies to Duston's parents, you are not alone in feeling this loss and all of us who are touched by this thank you for blessing us with Duston for however briefly we had him.

Duston, I will always remember how you won the football mini bowl game for us with your touchdown saving backfield tackle of the quarterback. You always laughed at my stupid corny jokes and how you was always there for my son Matt and family. You and Andera will be missed and I will pray for your daughter and parents to be able at sometime to come with peace for such a great loss to us all. I Love you Duston and will miss you.
