Mr Goom was the best teacher I had. He was my 6th grade teacher at LA Fetra Elementary in Glendora Ca. I learned how to play the harmonica and ukulele. He was fantastic.

I was in Mr.Gomms' last class at LA Fetra. I can still remember the preamble to the constitution. He was a good man who tried to give his students as much common sense knowledge as he could. I can never thank him enough for taking the time to care and encourage us as much as he did.

Miss you Mr. Gomm. You were one of my best teachers. La Fetra Elementary 6th grade. Glendora. Abstract drawing, the Gettysburg Address.. so many other Patriotic Songs, and Square Dancing in the Cafeteria. I will be looking for you, when i have to leave this earth. Until then, rest easy.

Mr. Gomm was my 6th grade elementary school teacher at La Fetra School, in Glendora, Ca. My friends and I were just talking about him and I just recently moved back to the Glendora area; so I am seeing which teachers are still around.

I am sad to hear the Mr. Gomm was killed in an accident. He was a good man and a good teacher. He left an impression on me and he was a character.

During his class I was chosen to work in the cafeteria, we square danced which I loved, we learned about art, and we memorized quite a few patriotic documents, like the Preamble to the Constitution, Declaration of Independence, all four stanzas of the Star Bangled Banner, and others.

Mr. Gomm was commanding, earned respect, but yet was a gentle giant.

He was the first teacher to garner me with straight A’s.

Aside from that, he was a good man. ❤

We met him once years ago with Mark and Audrey at the Stadium of Fire in Provo. We were impressed by his mature, quiet and friendly personality and loving dispositon. He was affable and kind. He and Beverly greeted us and my family and I was aware that they were content to be surrounded by family and friends. This is such a tragic loss but we believe he is presently content, still surrounded by family and friends.

Brother Gomm attened our baptisms and helped us with our family history. He was so excited to see us go to the temple and be sealed together with our 3 children. I am so grateful for his help, as we did our books of remeberence together. He helped me find family names that I thought that I would never find. A promise is a promise... I'll get those name done in a year.

Bro. Gomm was my 6th grade teacher at LaFetra Elementary in Glendora. He taught 6 out of the 7 kids in our family. We all adored him and when any of us 6 are asked our favorite teacher we ALWAYS say it was Mr. Gomm. He taught us so many things. Many years later it was always such a treat to see him. He will be missed, but know that he touched many, many lives. Our prayers are with you.

My heart is heavy with your loss. I have never met either of these two men, although their influence has been a blessing to me. I servied my mission 10 years ago with Daniel Gomm. It was a wonderful experience. He is a great man and I can tell that he comes from a long line of great men. Again my condolences.

I remember you guys being part of the family (the block family) on Durrell St in Azusa. I've thought of your family often and wondered what you all were doing. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Brother Gomm was my 8th grade teacher at Sellers School in Glendora, CA many years ago. I respected him so much. Many years later when I became of member of the LDS Church he stood in at my confirmation. My sympathy goes out to Sister Gomm, who is also a very special lady whom I admire so much.
