Faviola Hernandez Obituary

Faviola Hernandez "Favi" Our beloved daughter, sister and mother, Faviola Hernandez, 24 years young, born November 24, 1982. She was tragically taken from us on Aug. 15, 2007.She was born to her father Jose and mother Rasalba Hernandez in Salt Lake City, Utah. Favi was known by many who immediately fell in love with her beautiful heart, presence and personality. She graduated from East High Class of 2001, also graduated from cosmetology school shortly after. She then started a successful career with many opportunities. As many may know, Favi loved sports, her favorite teams were The Denver Broncos, Sacramento Kings, and the L. A. Dodgers. For all those who were blessed to have known her, can say she was truly an angel sent to us from the heavens above. Her presence could light up the world with warmth and kindness. She was always with a smile on her face, and always lived her life to the fullest. She admired her friends and adored her family, all so very much. She would do anything to prevent anyone from harm. She sacrificed her life for the safety of her loved ones, and we are all forever thankful, but greatly hurt on our loss. She is our hope and happiness. She had so much pride, courage, class, enthusiasm, love, wisdom, and knowledge. She was an inspiration to all and always was there to comfort whoever needed it. She always knew the perfect things to say, at the times we needed to hear them. Faviola was the morning star and sunrise to all. She was a best friend to many, and the sunset to our hearts. She did so much more while she was with us, accomplished much more than was ever imagined. She was an independent, responsible woman who had the dream, courage and desire to go after and get everything she ever wanted. Never giving up on what she believed in, and never letting anyone stop her. Survived by her father, mother, sisters Leslie and Laura, brothers J.R. and Alex Hernandez. Cousins, aunts and uncles, grandparents, Godchildren, Godparents and many friends. We ask everyone to pray for our beloved Favi, so that she is in peace in the heavens with her unborn child. Where we all know she's happiest now that she's finally with her angel baby, gorgeous Andre Justin, which we all love with all our hearts, and will never be forgotten. We shall not be selfish in wanting to have her here with us, even though we love and need her. God chose her time for he knew her angel baby needed her more than we. Her family gives thanks to all who gave flowers, lit candles and prayed for our Faviola, it mean so much to know how much she's loved by the world. Never hesitate over what she had to say, she spoke her mind willingly, and always let you know how she felt. She was our support and guidance, helping us get through our hard times and struggles. We are all grateful to have had her in our lives, as she touched and reached out to everyone's soul, spirit and hearts. Although this tragic nightmare took away the best thing we ever had we shall never forget all the memories and precious moments we all shared. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 174 East 900 South. A Rosary will be recited Sunday 6 p.m. where a viewing will be from 5-6 p.m. also at the church. Committal Salt Lake City, Cemetery 4th Ave. and N Street. Faviola will always be loved and in our hearts, forever and always, always and forever. Rest in peace. I love you Mi Reina. Mommy will always love my little angel. Que Duermas Con Los Angelitos.

So much time has gone by but I still think of you often. I'm sure you and Damon are hanging out and laughing and catching up. You both have so much energy I bet your laughing all the time. Seems there is as many family in heaven as there are here that I love and theres no replacement for the ones in heaven. Till next time Favi .

Favi-

It's been awhile since you've been gone. I haven't had the words to describe how much you are missed by our family. You were a huge part of the Archuleta's. My brother Boo had the best woman in the world. He will never find anyone like you! You meant allot to my immediate family we all thought of you as our sister, daughter, friend etc... Most of all you were always there, helpful, smiling and just being you. I hope in heaven you are reading this and smiling down on us all. Please pray for Boo ,and watch over him, he is hurting now and if you can be his angel now, I will owe you the world..... My father just passed away in March, he is now in heaven with you, and I'm sure the both of you are hanging out and celebrating together! If you see my dad, please tell him "hello, and I love him so much, I wish you both were here with us, but I understand god needs you more.....Love YOU!!!

Rest in Heaven and say hello to my nephew for me....

Love ya,
Jessica Archuleta

I never personally met faviola, but oh gosh. If you could only know the wonderful things that i was always told about her. My boyfriend, dad, and brother would always say positive things about her. They loved getting their haircut done by her. They always came out with a smile and would return within the next couple weeks just to get another haircut. She was a beautiful women and still had her whole life ahead of her. My condolenscenses go out to her family. I know what it feels like to lose that one special person. She was an angel walking among us and now she is an angel walking above us with her ray of light. She will always be here with you through spirit and memories. She will never steer you wrong. God Bless.

I first met favi at East high where we went 2 the prom 2gether. I considered her my best friend because she helped me through rough times in high school and when my dad passed away she helped me through that, we would go 2gether 2 visit my dad and her baby. She was the only 1 that knew everything about me and believed in me and I made her a promise that will get kept. I love and miss you Favi and will never 4get you til we meet again...

Favi,

I felt that you would someday become my daughter-in-law. You will always hold a special place in my heart and I am very sad that you are not here with us. Favi, you were the only girl to keep my son on his toes. The two of you made me laugh because you were so much alike. He valued your friendship and loved you very much. Your smile was the best! I will miss your visits and our talks. You always had such a sweet and straight forward disposition about life and how you thought things should be. You were true to yourself and what you believed in. My prayers are with your family that they have the strength to get through this tragic and sad time, as much as my heart aches over this I can only imagine what they are going through. May God bless them and see them through.

Love Always,

For nearly 10 years I lived across the street from the Hernandez family and became friends with Leslie and Favi. I remember wanting to grow up and be beautiful and popular like Favi was and drive a cool car like the eclipse she used to have. As I grew up I sort of lost touch with her then we regained touch when my boyfriend began getting his hair cut at "The Shop" on a weekly bases. He wouldn't go anywhere else because he said Favi was the only person who took her time to cut his hair exactly how he liked it. She would always welcome us with a warm and comforting smile. What gets to me the most is how much my son loved her. He is a shy and sometimes mean kid but with her he would always laugh and be happy because she treated him with such love and grace. Almost as if he was her own. I'll never forget her laugh, her smile, her beauty, her love of sports and especially all the advice she ever gave me on life. I'm sure she touched all who came in contact with her and our condolances go out to the family she leaves behind. We love you Favi, you are forever in our hearts. Rest In Peace.

Familia Hernandez.

I had been going to another Salon for along time. It was further away and was costing me a small fortune. My son suggested I stop into the Shop. It is hard to make a change but once I did it was great. Favi made me feel at home, comfortable, and she cut my hair every bit as good. We became friends, not just her client. The world is a little less bright now. I do not think she would like our sadness and would want us to remember her spirit and smile. Blessings to her family.

I has the pleasure to work & go to comotology school with favi. She was a person who was full of happiness. She always ready to lend a hand & share her talent . she loved her family dearly.May god watch over her family & guide them throught this difficult time.

Farewell, Favi"

Somewhere in my heart,
Beneath all of this pain,
Is a smile I still wear...
At the sound of your name.

The precious word is "Favi"
She was my friend, you see,
But now our heart are breaking,
She's no longer here with us.

God chose her for His angel
To watch us from above,
To guide us and advise us
And know that we are still loved.

The day she had to leave us,
Her life on earth was through,
But God had better plans for her
For this, we surely knew

When I think of her kind heart
And all those loving years,
Because we're only human,
They're bound to bring us tears.

Favi truly was my friend,
Someone I could confide in,
She always had a shoulder to lean on,
with a soft and gentle grin.

I want to thank you Favi
For teaching me so well,
Even though the time has come,
That I must bid you farewell.

I'll remember all you've taught me
To put God, family, Dreams above all others...

Even though you've left this earth
I know that you are here with Us,
each morning, noon , night

May you rest in peace Favi.

I consider myself blessed to have known her, and there is an unmistakable void I feel, now that she is gone. We worked together and she was a constant light to me. Every morning, without fail, she would have the days schedule ready for me, and whenever information couldn't be found, I always went to her for help. She was the best sleuth money could buy. She seemed to have a smile for everyone. She made you feel valued, thought of, and respected. Favi seemed to have learned all of life's essential truths at an early age, and what was left for her to do but to be a benefactor; a spiritual endownment, for all those that came in contact with her. It was the role any angel would play. We all loved and respected her and I hope she knows my extremely high regard for her. My best condolences go out to her family and friends.

God needed a hairstylist..and he took one of the best. Favi was an amazing person. I would always give her crap about how the Denver Broncos suck which i wish she were here to admit it they do. I would sit in her chair for however long it took to do my hair or i would walk across the street as she lived in front of my house and just give each other crap. She was one of the most down to earth people that i've ever met and it's a shame that she is'nt here so we can argue about how the Broncos suck, Or when i got the cops called on me for playing my drums she and her family told me play louder let them complain and i sure as hell did too. She was just the type of person that you would want everyone in the world to meet just once. And now at least in our little area she has had that change to touch someone in one way or another. You'll be missed dearly and don't worry next time i see you..the Broncos will still suck. God speed Bronco lover God speed.

God be with you and I will continue to pray for the family.

To my dearest family, some things I’d like to say… but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.

I’m writing this from heaven here I dwell with god above. Here, there are no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy because I am out of sight. Remember that I am with you every morning, noon, and night. That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through, God picked me up and hugged me and said “I welcome you”.

“It’s good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone. As for your dearest family, they’ll be here later on. I need you here badly; you’re part of my plan. There’s so much that we have to do to help our mortal man”.

God gave me a list of things that he wished for me to do. And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you. And when you lie in bed at night, the days chores put to flight. God and I are closest to you… in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years, because you’re only human, they are bound to bring you tears. But don’t be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain. Remember there would be no flowers unless there was some rain.

I wish I could tell you all that God has planned. But if I were to tell you, you wouldn’t understand. But one thing is for certain though my life on earth is over. I’m closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb; but together we can do it by taking one day at a time. It was always my philosophy and I’d like it for you too… that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who’s in sorrow and in pain, then you can say to God at night “my day was not in vain”. And now I am contented… that my life has been worthwhile, knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and felling low, just lend a hand to pick them up, as on your way you go. When you’re walking down the street, and you’ve got me on your mind; I’m walking in your foot steps only half a step behind.
And when it’s time for you to go… from that body to be free, remember you’re not going…. You’re coming here to me.

Faviola was a extraordinary human being. She was one of the coolest people I have ever met. We would always argue over sports and music. I will miss my friend deeply. I know she is in a better place and I just want to tell her I love her and miss her already. Thanks 4 being such a great friend and inspiration to all who were blessed to meet you.

I first met Favi in high school, in a health class we had together. I noticed right away how smart and beautiful she was. She was a very kind person as well. When she opened the Shop, my husband, son , and brothers enjoyed having her cut their hair. She did such a good job, she took her time, which is rare in that business. She wanted to make sure they were pleased, and they always were.
I work at the Hook n' Ladder and was there when she was tragically taken. My heart still hurts, knowing she'll never come in again to chat. We all loved her at Hook n' Ladder. Her visits brought joy because she was always smiling and she was just so gorgeous.
Favi will always be in my heart, and I feel like a better person having known her.

Faviola was the first person that would knock at our door in the mornings and I would open the door and she would look up and smile and then ask for Kellie or Tawnya and she would come in and play for hours these kids could not be seperated when they were younger.
Faviola has been a part of our conversation many times and when we heard about this horrible tragedy we bursted into tears and every minute and time we ever had with her flashed before my eyes.
Faviola wa a very loving kind hearted person and we are going to miss her. Faviola and her family always were wonderful to us and they always treated us as if we were family.
We want you all to know our hearts go out to all of you and if you need anything we are here for all of you.
Faviola we love you and will miss you. Kellie, Tawna, Leonard and Tommy and Vickie and Leonard.
