Isabelle Lupus Obituary

Isabelle M. Lupus Together Forever We lost our sweet little mom, Izzy on February 23, 2007. She was 91. She wasn't quite five feet tall but her heart was as big as a house. She went to be with Al, her husband of 70 years. They are dancing together once again to heaven's tunes. Although this is a sad time for us, we smile through our tears to think of them together again. Isabelle was born on January 25, 1916, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Tony and Katina George. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred, her daughter, Colleen, two brothers and three sisters. Isabelle married her only love Alfred Lupus on September 28, 1935, in Salt Lake City. She was a life time member of St. Francis Catholic Church and attended every Sunday with her son Greg to hear Father Mike's booming sermons. She served at the Orem Friendship center for over 25 years. With her husband Al, she served lunches to the area's seniors almost every day. She was honored in 2004 as a senior survivor. Isabelle never worked outside the home but she had plenty to do tending her family of six. Her children were her life and she even waited for them to all be with her at death. Izzy is survived by daughters, LaWana (Patrick) Clinton, Draper; Sharon (Mike) Foley, Loveland, CO; Kathy (Brent) Reynolds, Payson; sons, Alfred "Stormy" (Carol) Lupus, Sandy; and Gregory Lupus, Midway; Liz Lupus Matson, Orem; two sisters, Gloria and Jessie. She has 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grand-children and nieces and nephews too numerous to mention. The family wishes to thank Summerfield Manor for the excellent care mom received for the last two years of her life. We wish to thank Karen, Kelly, Kathy and the whole team at A-Plus for years of wonderful service. Thanks to Dr. Sean Curzon and the staff of Timpanogos Regional Hospital for their patience and understanding to our large and extended family during this trying time. Very special thanks to Ranae McCune for her service to mom who she loved in a very special way for the last four years. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (Building Fund) in honor of Isabelle. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2007, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 65 East 500 North, Orem. Family and friends may visit Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, with Rosary starting at 8 p.m. and with a viewing from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the Mass. Interment will be held in the Orem City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at: www.walkerfamilymortuary.com

Aunt Isabel had a great laugh...it was contagious. It always felt good to be in a room with her because she made you laugh too. We all are blessed to have known her and can look back with great memories when we all were young and did so many family things together. Life seemed simpler then. Janine and I want you all to know we remember your parents and loved them. You all are in our prayers.

Attending High School with "Stormy" I became well-acquainted with the Lupus family. Al and Isabelle were marvelous examples of goodly parents and wonderful contributors to this community. She will be sorely missed, but memories of long ago still linger of the great love these two people shared and that Isabelle exhibited each day. My love and condolences to their wonderful family!

To all the Lupus siblings

I loved your mom. She was one of the sweetest women I've ever met, and she never lost her sense of humor.

I've loved reading about her in the Paranoid Views over the years. I'll keep you all in my prayers.

Hugs to all of you.

Well, the four of them are together again, and I can just see them all visiting. We grew up with four great roll models and great times together.

Aunt Isabell loved to cook and I specifically remember after I got married and returned to Utah, she and mom and I spent the afternoon cooking fithiad. Your parents will always be part of our history and we will always love and remember them.

Our love and prayers to all of you.
