OMG I just got home from mission and heard about Maquelle. I am so sad! Quelle, you were such a sweet person. So full of love for your family and friends. I ran into your step mom at Harmons on Memorial Day and she told me the news. How sad! How sad for your family. For your mom for your dad and step mom for Drew and your step brothers. I am so sad. I know everyone that knew you is sad. I still can not believe it! The last time I saw you you had just moved into your own place! You were so happy to be "on your own". I cant believe it!

We are so sorry for the loss you and your family have endured. Lossing anyone is hard, lossing your own child is harder then anything. Lianna we know the trials and tribulations you have went through being a step parent, and know you did your best. Chris, you my friend have a heart of gold and one that was full of love for all the children in your life. We mourn with you and the loss of your daughter and we pray for peace for your family, Maquelle's mother and all the family and friends who ha ve been touched by Maquelle. We are so sorry for your loss. We met Maquelle at Dr. Dal Cantos office when I had surgery. I had to got back to see Dr. Dal Canto quite often over the last year and a half. The only reason I looked forward to our visit was because of Maquelle. She was always so happy and always wanted to know what we were up to for the week or upcoming holiday. One time she told me she could never leave Utah because she would miss her family too much. She loved her family more than anything. What a beautiful young woman she was. My mind goes back to memories of pony rides upon my knee, your first day of school, your brand new bike, and your sweet "16" and your first car. Through the years I've watched you grow and I love you enough to let you go. I worked near Maquelle at the clinic and was fortunate to have her as my babysitter for the past few months. She took great care of my two boys, Caden (age 5) and Grant (six months), and showed to me what a great mommy she was capable of being. My kids adored her. Caden would ask "when is Maquelle coming again?" Last time she and the kids watched Kung Fu Panda and shared popcorn. I am grateful to have been touched by such a ray of sunshine. We'll miss her,

When you get a phone call at 2 A.M. it is never good. I was sure I had woken from a horrible dream. Now I so wish I had. It would be out of my heart by now. To my dearest girly-friend and adopted "LiL Sister" We can find no words to say and the tears just won't go away we are heart broken over the loss of Maquelle. She is in our cell phones as "Daughter" and "Sissy" the picture of you and Maquelle at the Bees game pops up when either one of you call. Mamma Dos rings in my ears when I think of her amazing smile and sparkling eyes. I have told you so many times that baseball brought us together but our love keeps us close! We will be there everyday and every step with you until you tell us to stop hovering and then we probably won't listen anyway. We will miss Maquelle and her little "Snort" of laughter always. MaQuelle had a wonderful gift of tenderness and genuine love which especially shone when she met with her patients in the waiting room. She was so sweet with her older patients who I know will be heartbroken not to see her sweet smiling face again, as all of us that worked with her are. Val and I were noticing her with an elderly man just last week, just amazed that someone as young as her could have such compassion. She must have an amazing family to raise such a daughter.
