Patricia Pare Obituary

Patricia Lucille Pare 1937 ~ 2007 JACKSONVILLE- Patricia Lucille Pare, 70, of Jacksonville, died Thurs. September 27, 2007 at Craven Regional Medical Center in New Bern. Graveside funeral services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on Wed. Oct. 31, 2007, at 2 p.m. Mrs. Pare was born on March 17, 1937 in London, Kentucky. She was the daughter of W. Pearl and Irma Kennedy Allen. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Philippe Pare and four brothers, Daniel Allen, who while serving in World War II in the US Navy Its submarine, was lost at sea, also, William "Bill" Allen, two half brothers, Beacham Allen and Barney Allen. Patricia graduated from Salem High School and attended Indiana State University. She was a member of Clay County Genealogical and Historical Society, and was an avid genealogist. She participated in the recent search for next of kin of the USS Grunion officers and crew. The ship was found and identified off the Aleutian Islands. Patricia was a retired secretary with civil service. She is survived by her husband, Philippe Pare of the home; one daughter, Laura Pare Gramse of Salt Lake City, Utah; one son, Eric Pare of Hobucken; two grandchildren, Jolene Latimer and her husband, Riley; and Daniel Bowen; three great-grandchildren, Kayley, Kyle and Kaleb and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834. Electronic condolences may be left for the family at www.jonesfh.org
