Scott was one of the most genuine, one of a kind guys. Went out of his way to help others whenever he could.
Some of my most cherished memories were there with Scott and his big smile.

I couldn't believe the news of Scott's passing, after a phone call from a mutual friend. I moved to Salt Lake in 98, and didn't know many people. After one night of meeting Scott it was like we were life long friends, and that's what we became.
Scott was the guy that you could always call if u needed anything.
Scott put everyone before himself. Always encouraging, and looking at the glass half full he was an inspiration to me. He made me a better person, by the way he treated others, and never took a day for granted. Putting his heart into all that he did he lived life to the fullest. The world has lost a bright light. I send my heartfelt condolences to his family and all those close to him.

It remains very difficult and tremendously sad having to consider a world without Scott; emotions I expect to carry with me the rest of my life. The energy and presence Scott projected was magnetic. There are so many traits I admired in him, but more than any other was his willingness and enthusiasm to engage other people, even perfect strangers, purely for the purpose of making them happy, brightening their day, or paying them a compliment. Upon arriving for a visit just a few weeks ago, I watched him take the time to engage a stranger who was walking, somewhat glumly, on the sidewalk in front of my house. He had no idea I was watching. He simply asked the person "why is someone so beautiful looking so unhappy?". This really happened. He went on further..."seriously tell me what I can do to make your day better and you happier". And Scott meant every word of it, and anyone who knows Scott, can hear and see him saying this. The stranger was taken aback at first, but Scott's charm, charisma, and goodness were no match, and it didn't take long before the unknown person was smiling, blushing, and thanking him as they carried on with their walk, but in a much happier state of mind. I was smiling too, and remember loving and admiring Scott for doing that. I will always love and admire Scott, but like so many others at the moment, I just miss him and wish he wasn't gone.
Thank you, Scott, for being my friend, and for all the times you made me smile, laugh, and brightened my day.
