Scott York Obituary

Scott Harrison York

1962 ~ 2022

Millcreek, UT—Scott Harrison York passed away at St. Mark's Hospital on April 21, 2022. He arrived as a Mother's Day gift on May 12, 1962 to Bonnie Brothers York Cavill and Lee James York.

As the family transferred to Omaha, Dallas and Southern California, Scott spent many happy summers with his sister Wendy and brother Jim wading in Millcreek or climbing in the barn at their grandparent's 3 ½ acre Cressfarm.

The family returned to Salt Lake in 1969 and Scott graduated from the University of Utah. He then continued to complete his law degree from the S.J. Quinney U of U School of Law, and set up his practice at "The Farm."

He considered it a place where family, friends and clients left their confrontation at the gate, and spent time there in friendship, problem-solving, interesting discussions and at peace with the wildlife that nests and passes through.

Scott is survived by his mother, Bonnie Cavill, his sister Wendy York and nieces Natalie, Marina, Andora and Seanna. He is missed for his good company, his encyclopedic knowledge of many disciplines and workings of The Farm, his quiet humor and his loyalty to friendship.

A Celebration of Life is planned in the summer on June 24 at Cressfarm. (Thin all his life, Scott hated the cold!) In his memory, learn something new, befriend a furry critter or reach out a hand to help a friend.

So sorry to hear this, Bonnie. I know he will be missed. I am currently living at Pacifica
Care facility. So I probably won´t attend
The memorial.

Worked with Scott in another lifetime many years ago. He was a talented craftsman. Big smile, and a great sense of humor.
So stunned to hear this.
I am so very sorry for your loss.
