Steven Pace Obituary

Steven C. Pace 2/11/1948 ~ 2/16/2010 Born in Clearfield, UT, son of Eldon and Anna (Reese) Pace. He attended Clearfield High School, met and married Beverly Jean Epps on Dec. 2 1966. To this union three beautiful girls were born, Teresa (Sam) Sutherland, Corrina Rae Pace (deceased), Danette (Randy) Rasmussen. They were married for 34 wonderful years until Beverly's untimely death on Jan. 9, 2000. After Bev's passing with heavy heart Steve sought out and found his high school sweetheart Bonnie (Vanderwest) Branum. They had 10 great years working as camp hosts traveling and enjoying thier home in Clearfield. Steven had worked for and retired from Fairchild Semiconductor Int. in SLC. After retirement with his love for Mother Earth he began camp hosting in Southern Utah and ending up in Ogden at Fort Buenaventura. This resulted in employment with Weber County (property management) for the past five years. He is survived by his daughters Teresa and Danette, brother John (Lanette) Pace, 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and his loving companion Bonnie. Steve is preceded in death by his parents, infant brother George, wife Beverly Jean, infant daughter Corina Rae and infant great-grandchild Randy Allen. The family wants to thank IHC hospice and Weber County(Property management/Parks and Rec.) for their compassion and support during this difficult time. Special thanks to Martha Rivera for being our rock. There will be a celebration of life at Fort Buenaventura, the place he loved best, on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010 from 3-5 p.m. Cremation under direction of Aaron's Mortuary & Crematory. To my dearest Bonnie, Teresa, Danette, and all of Steve's Loved ones. I am so very saddened for your loss. Steve was one of the greatest men I have had the honor of knowing. He was like a father to me and shared unconditionally a friendship like no other. Steve & Beverly blessed me with their beautiful daughter Tersea, whom brought Corina & Joshua, our children into this world & my life. I feel so blessed to have known him. My prayers are with all that have been touched by this great man! We all love you so very much!

To: The Steven Pace Family
From: Steven's cousin.

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. Steven and I played together many summers. I was raised in Idaho but vacationed several summers in Utah to see grandpa and grandma Reese. On most of these visits, grandpa would take us to visit Aunt Ann and Uncle Eldon Pace. We had a great time playing with John and Steven. Most times we would spend the whole day with them. Then when it was late at night and time to go home, I would cry, "Can't we stay just a little longer." It was fun being with the Paces. My condolences. There will a empty place in your lives and in your heart. Roddy Jensen, a cousin.

A great camp host is hard to find, and let me tell you, Steve was the best. He loved Southern Utah as much as I do. I am sorry for your loss...
