Dear Claron and Family,
Fond memories have given me much joy and comfort this past week as I have reflected on my friendship with Susan. She was a delightful person with a wonderful smile and always so kind and caring. We were in Pep Club together at Granite High School and Susan was looked up to by many. We reconnected a few years ago and met for lunches and talked on the phone and I will miss those times. She leaves a wonderful legacy. May the Lord bless and comfort you through these difficult times.

Leslie and Family,

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I have such fond memories of when we were kids and used to cut thru your yard and play on the way to school. Susan never gave us a hard time about it, just smiled and said "hi". What a beautiful person, I am so glad to have known her.

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Claron and family

When Julie called me Friday morning to tell me that Susan had passed away, I was in total shock.

It was great seeing her through the years through that family connection. My prayers are with you and your children. May you feel the love and comfort of our Heavenly Father at this diffucult time.

I am sorry to hear that Susan has passed away but she is in good company this week. She was always so kind and gracious. One night years ago she called me and said that she was taking me to dinner and a movie. I protested but she insisted she had these tickets and needed to use them. She was listening and knew that I needed a friend that night. She taught me how to be a dedicated visiting teacher because she always set the example. And she gave me the courage to walk away from a bad situation. One day we were going to a stake activity and she asked me if I was okay. I said that I was and asked her why she was asking. She said "because I never see you smile anymore" I went home and made some changes. She was a good person and my friend.

We're sorry to hear of Susan's untimely passing, so soon after June left us as well. Deepest sympathy to Claron, children and siblings. I am undergoing a medical procedure tomorrow and so we will be unable to attend both the viewing and the funeral service. I am sure both will be fitting and representative of Susan's caliber.

I am so shocked to learn of Susan's passing from our high school friend Janice Webster Fortie! I just saw Susan briefly at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building on January 19th, I believe. We had a quick chat and hug and promised to get together and discuss family history some more in the near future.
I have had several good visits with Susan while she was volunteering at the Family History Library. She is a wonderful lady and was always doing for others. I am grateful to have been her friend. I send my love and sympathy to her family at this time of sadness.

Dear Headman family, I hope you know how much we love Susan. She is a wonderful example of Christ-like behavior and a wonderful sister. She will be missed more than we can express and I (Julie) will feel such a void in my life when I can't pick up the phone and speak with her. Thank heavens for the wonderful plan of Happiness we have been given and that we know this isn't the end. We will be able to see her again. We hope that you will be comforted in this time of grief. You have our love.
