Todd Tapper Obituary
Todd Halley "Mercury" Tapper passed away in his sleep Wednesday, April 18, 2018 in Lake Havasu, AZ. He has gone to join the rest of the angels.
Todd is survived by his adoring wife, Christina Thurmond; beloved mother, Phyliss Tapper; twin brother, Ted Tapper; his aunt Sally Thompson, and a lot of cousins that he loved dearly. Todd also will be remembered by his "chosen family" circle of friends.
Born in 1956 Todd grew up in Montpelier, Idaho. Spending his time water skiing at the family Cabin on Bear Lake or snow skiing in the Mountains above, Todd excelled at both. Todd graduated Summa Cum Laude from Westminster College of Salt Lake City and went on to work in many professions that involved helping others.
He worked for the Chemehuevi Indian Tribe. Todd also worked as a funeral director in both Seattle, WA and Salt Lake City, UT, Todd was a Champion for the grieving, showing great compassion to those in need. He became a great healer, graduating top of his class from Myotherapy College in Salt Lake. He became an expert at all modalities of Massage. Most recently, he became a stage hand with the local IATSE Union, following his, passion for music.
Todd loved playing his Roland keyboard, exercising, and practicing Yoga, hanging out with wife, friends and family, giving giant bear hugs to people, eating large amounts of ice cream, dancing, laughing loudly, and spending time with his giant Newfoundland dog, Brutus.

So many precious memories of this guy. Fun does not even begin to describe him or zest for life. Always lit up a room. My Master's graduation was all the more memorable because of his presence! God is having the time of his life and the inhabitants of heaven with the presence of Todd Tapper. Our lives are forever enriched by his presence, love, and fun-loving ability to bring sparkle to life.

It is so strange that I was recently talking to my family about our time in Montpelier and the two brothers whose dad owned the car dealership there. We had such fun running around and goofing on the chemistry teacher. I looked them up on google to see what they were doing these days and found this. I was so very sad to see Todd has passed. What a wonderful life he had. I send my warmest thoughts to Ted and the family. I am very sorry for your loss.

I am sorry hear about Todd's passing. He was a great friend for many years. The memories I have of growing up with him and Ted are some of the best of my life. Really a great friend and great person. I appreciate all your friendship so very much.

I'm so sorry to hear about Todd's passing. We were just kids all those years ago in Montpelier when I knew him. So many good memories have been bubbling up over the last several days. It sounds like Todd had a wonderful, fulfilling life. So sorry for your loss.

So sorry to hear about Todd. I ran into Todd not to long ago at Reams which is a grocery store. We had a short conversation and it was great to see him. Had a lot of fun times at the resort and snowmobiling with the Tapper twins.Rest in peace my friend.

Todd had such a kind and sweet heart. I use to run into him in Salt Lake every once in a while. So many happy memories of Todd and Ted, Phyllis and Tapper, up at Bear Lake. My heart goes out to all of his family......especially Ted. There are no words when you lose your twin. (I lost my twin, Carolyn, ten years ago and it was devastating.). My loving arms are around all of you. Life is so precious. Everyday is a gift.

Todd was such an amazing guy he helped so many people in their recovery and always had a smile on his face. He was so outgoing, fun to be around, and loved everyone whole heartedly! He is always going to be loved and dearly missed. I'm so heart broken for good took another one of us way to early. He will always be with us though through spirit!
