Bertha Barratachea Obituary

BARRATACHEA
Bertha Barratachea was granted her angel wings on Saturday, December 8, 2012. She will be joining her beloved husband Catarino Barratachea in heaven. Her final days were spent surrounded by family, relatives and friends. She was born on June 6, 1927 in San Antonio to Salvador Acosta and Concepcion Alvarado Acosta. Her gentle smile brought much joy to her family. She gave us all courage, and reminded us of how precious life really is. Those who were touched by her understand that the quality of existence exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her family will always remember how much she loved tending to all her little feathered friends while tending to her garden as well as her excellent cooking for the family. Bertha is survived by daughter Elisa Rodriguez, and sons George Barratachea, Daniel Barratachea, and James Barratachea. Viewing will begin Wednesday at 5:00pm in The Angelus Chapel with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will follow at 11:45 am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the Barratachea family at www.theangelusfuneralhome.com Arrangements by:
