Charles Briggs Obituary
Charles Thomas Briggs, 87, was born in San Angelo, Texas on May 14, 1931 and peacefully joined his Heavenly Father on December 13, 2018.
Charlie traveled Texas working in the Life and Health Insurance Industry for American General Insurance Company, American Security Insurance Company and American National Insurance Company.
He enjoyed life activities in the Naval Reserves for 12 years, watching his children's and grandchildren's sporting events, attending Astros games, doing Chili Cookoffs and having the Boy Scouts camp at his property in Kosse.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. and Caroline Aileen Summers Briggs, and his sister, Reva Briggs Baker.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Lynda St.Clair-Dierlam Briggs; daughter, Laura L. Briggs (Carrie Marquis) from Houston, TX; stepdaughter, Elizabeth Dierlam Gonzales of Corpus Christy, TX; stepson, Christopher Dierlam (Jennifer Neel) from San Antonio; niece, Renea McCutcheon (Ray) of Boerne, TX; mother of his children, Ruth Briggs; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. till time of service on WEDNESDAY, DEC. 19, 2018 at 12:30 PM PORTER LORING MORTUARY NORTH

Charlie was a dear friend of my Father, Dan Heiman who just recently past away. I know the two of them are together in Gods hands now. Charlie and dad shared many hours at Rockport having a cold beer and talking about the many years they worked in the insurance industry. This will be a tough time for all around the Christmas holiday, but know that Charlie is with you and the family always.
