Christopher Howell Obituary
Christopher W. Howell, surrounded by many who loved him, including his parents Barbara Witte-Howell and O.J. Howell, III, died of heart complications on October 14, 2013, in New Mexico.
He was born on January 5, 1984, in San Antonio and is preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry C. and Helen Harris Witte, and Oscar J. and Sandra Howell. His great grandmothers Ethel Wilson Harris of San Antonio, and Lovie Howell of Atlanta, Georgia, had great influences on his life emphasizing family history and civic involvement. As a fifth generation San Antonian, on a deep level he considered San Jose Mission and the S.A. River to be part of his heritage.
Christopher attended St. Peter's Catholic School, Alamo Heights High School and New Mexico Tech University. He played soccer with the AHFSH League and was a Troop 59 Boy Scout. His kindness, generosity and friendliness were extended to his friends and neighbors in the River Road Neighborhood.
He was Baptized during the Easter Sunrise Service at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, something he cherished. A Burial Service will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, San Antonio, on All Saints Day, November 1st, at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Los Compadres de San Antonio Missions, 6701 San Jose Drive, San Antonio, Tx 78214.

Barbara, words cannot express how sorry Jerry & I are to hear of Chris' passing. I have such great memories of him as a kid and I know Jerry got a kick out of teaching him some mechanical stuff. He was brilliant. If we can do anything, let us know.
