Edwin Harris Obituary
Edwin Sanage "Chip" Harris, V, of New Braunfels, Tx, transitioned from his earthly life on April 4, 2017 at the age of 76. He was born December 21, 1940 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina to parents Edwin Sanage Harris IV and Mary Elizabeth Brown Harris. Edwin was an avid historian, traveler, story teller and marksman who never met a stranger. He was a proud veteran of the United States Coast Guard. Edwin is survived by his wife, Tracy, sons, Edwin Sanage VI, Christopher Shawn, David Campbell (Shannon), and Michael Alan Harris, sister, Sandra Cheek and brother, Robby Harris. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, other family members and devoted friends. Graveside services are scheduled for Thursday, April 20, 2017, 10:15 am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery where military honors will be rendered. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Chip may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements under the direction of Legends Funeral Home, San Marcos, TX, 512-256-1220.
