Herbert McCarthy Obituary
April 10, 1933 - March 26, 2023
Herbert "Jack" McCarthy, CMSGT USAF (RET), passed away on March 26, 2023 in Converse, Texas. He was born in Buffalo, NY on April 10, 1933 to Gladys and UNK McCarthy.
He was always thankful that the USMC and USAF allowed him to serve 33 years in the military with 2 tours in Europe, 2 tours in Korea, and numerous assignments throughout the US.
He is survived by the love of his life Mary; daughter, Patty B. Donahue; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Schertz Funeral Home. Interment will be on Wednesday, April 5,2023 at 10:30 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
