Isidro Cerda Obituary
Isidro Manzarez Cerda was called home by the Lord on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the age of 86. He was born on April 5, 1931 in Buda, Texas. Isidro worked for Alamo Cement Company most of his life and enjoyed being a Eucharist Minister for his church. He is reunited in heaven with his wife of 64 years Louisa M. Cerda, parents Felipe and Lugarda Manzarez Cerda, great grandchild Leighton Wyatt Cerda, and all his brothers and sisters. He is greatly loved and will be deeply missed by his children Isidro "Cid" Jr, Carlos (Janie Guevera), grandchildren Lauren Jerralds-Garza (Zach), Isidro Preston III (Lauren), Rafael Alexander, great grandchild Preston Alexander Cerda plus numerous other family and friends. The family wanted to express their sincerest gratitude to Isidro's caretakers Diana Hernandez and Maria Velez for their loving care. Visitation will be held at Castillo Mission Funeral on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 2pm to 9pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7pm. A formal procession will depart the funeral home at 10:15am on Monday, March 5, 2018 for a 11am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Fernando Catholic Cemetery II.
