Joseph Allen

Joseph Edward Allen, of Kerrville, Texas passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at the young age of 56. He was born in Fort Worth,Texas on October 19, 1957 to the late Lila Stoner Allen and the late Samuel Hayes Allen.

Joe was a well respected independent geologist and had a great passion for geology and science. He loved tennis, snow skiing, camping with his son Brien and hunting with his friends. His legacy is that of selfless giving, self-sacrifice and hard work. Joe loved mentoring and sharing his knowledge of business and investing with local college students. He was an Eagle Scout and an Advancement Counselor for Kerrville Troop 111 for many years. Joe was extremely proud of his son, Brien who will graduate from the University Of Texas Cockrell School Of Petroleum Engineering in December. Joe always kept his promises and was loved and will be missed by many.

Joe is survived by his wife, Patty and son Brien Foster Allen; brother Jacob Redman Allen of Spring Branch,Texas and nephew Michael Thompson. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother William Marcus Allen and grandparents Foster and Hazel Stoner and Ned and Ruby Allen.

A Celebration of Joe's Life will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 11:00 in the Vista Room at The Pinnacle Club at Comanche Trace, 3074 Bandera Highway, Kerrville, Texas 78028
