Rene Ricardo Menchaca

Rene Ricardo Menchaca, age 38, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 29, 2002. He is a member of the Plumbers & Pipe Fitters Local Union No. 142. Rene was very active for many years coaching softball, soccer and basketball at St. Paul's CYO and was also president of the CYO Zone 5 for five years. Mr. Menchaca also enjoyed teaching batting lessons at San Antonio Fast Pitch Academy. He is survived by his wife, Amparo Menchaca; parents, Roberto and Madeline Menchaca; son, Arturo Reygadas; daughters, Melanie Renee Menchaca and Vanessa Ybarbo and her son Nathan Crail; brothers, Robert J. Menchaca and wife Jo Carol and Roger Menchaca; nieces and nephews, Michelle, Lisa, Haley and Jesse Menchaca; mother-in-law, Clara Alejandro and several uncles, aunts and cousins. Visitation will begin 5:00 P.M., Monday, December 30, 2002 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Roy Akers Chapel of Memories. Funeral Procession will depart 9:30 A.M. from Roy Akers Tuesday, December 31, 2002 for a 10:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 350 Sutton.
