Sebastian Rodriguez Obituary

"Sebby" Rodriguez, loving son of Joel Marquez Rodriguez and Lleanna Elizondo and kind big brother to Katalina Pilar Rodriguez and Hudson Harper Rodriguez, passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 23.

His life was marked by a fierce love of family, a dedication to academics, a compassion for animals and a keen spirit for adventure in everything he pursued.

Sebby, an aspiring lawyer, was completing his last year at South Texas College of Law Houston where he was honored as a Presidential Fellow. He was a 2021 graduate of the C.T. Bauer College of Business, University of Houston with a BBA in finance, cum laude. He was a proud member of the Phi Delta Phi Honor Society and Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 2018 where he competed in lacrosse.

From a young age, Sebby learned the importance of giving back to his community. In high school he started a non-profit organization to assist Hurricane Harvey victims. Other community activities continued throughout his college and law school years.

Sebby will always be remembered fondly for his many accomplishments, his beautiful smile, his thoughtfulness to those he loved, especially his mother and father, sister, brother, grandmother, and fiancé, Meghan, his prodigious talent with the guitar and his loyal friendship to many people all over the world. May the abundant memories he created for us bring inspiration, peace and comfort to all the lives he touched.

He is survived by his mother, Lleanna; his father, Joel and his fiancé, Iuliia Shestakova, his sister, Kati and brother, Hudson; his maternal grandfather, Alfredo Elizondo, paternal grandmother, Alma Delia Marquez and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Margaret Elizondo.

Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A funeral mass will be offered at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church. A burial will follow at Mission Memorial Park – Dominion North.

Rest In Eternal Paradise Little Brother! You grew up to be a true gentleman. I really enjoyed our messages and conversations. No one will ever be able to completely explain or understand why you had to leave this world so soon. May your family be comforted knowing that you´re in Heaven and God had a special need for you to sit as his side. Love You.

Sebby was in my graduation class of 2018. He always had positive things to say and would be willing to help anybody in any we that he could. Sebby was an honorable person and an outstanding athlete. He also had a great sense of humor. He would have the class laughing so loud that it would disturb the other classes on the different floors of Central Catholic. I did not have many classes with him, but when we did he would always have a contagious smile and ask how I was doing and how he could make the day better for me. One memory I have of Sebby is graduation day. He sat right next to me and would try to get me to laugh as students were receiving their diplomas. Boy, we he a jokester. I send my love and prayers to him and his wonderful family! I love you, Sebby.
