Sharon Wintermute Obituary
Sharon A. Wintermute, of San Antonio, TX, died peacefully on April 2, 2010. She was born in Buffalo, NY and was preceded in death by her parents, Leo P. Hitzges and Peggy L. Hitzges. She is survived by her devoted husband of over 50 years, Thomas J. Wintermute, and their three children and their families -Thomas J. Wintermute Jr. (son) his wife, Patricia Wintermute; Wendy W. Crabbe (daughter) her husband, Matthew Crabbe and their two children, Christopher and Laura Crabbe; and Shari L. Antonucci (daughter) her husband, Anthony Antonucci and their three children, Alessia, Nicholas and Justin Antonucci. She is also survived by two brothers and two sisters - John Hitzges, Andrew Hitzges, Mary Fraass and Kathy Jimenez along with many nieces and nephews. Sharon was an active member of the Hill Country Retreat community serving as Secretary on the Social Committee Board, and was a member of several clubs - the Gourmet Club, Hand and Foot Club, PET Project and a fan of line dancing. She was a graduate of Mount Saint Mary High School in Buffalo, NY and maintained friendships with other classmates throughout her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by all.
SERVICES
A memorial service will be held in Sharon's honor on Wednesday, April 14th at 6:00 p.m. at the Resort on the Hill Country Retreat property, 4550 Del Webb Blvd., San Antonio, TX 78253. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Vitas Innovative Hospice Care, 5430 Fredericksburg Road, Suite 200, San Antonio, TX 78229. Condolences may be offered at [email protected]
