To the Ware Family, my sincerest sympathy for your family's loss. I was fortunate to witness the love that Denny, Mark and Liz had for her. She was such a lovely woman and her warm presence will be missed. "Her children rise up and bless her; her husband also, and he praises her." (Proverbs 31:28)

Denny, I'm truly sorry to hear of Suzanne's passing. It was a blessing to have had the opportunity to know her. She always made me feel welcome -- wherever in the world we were! In particular I remember the weekend the two of you took Terri, Jerry and I to Paris. The two of you walked our feet off, but made sure we saw the sights. I truly enjoyed getting to know Suzanne better that weekend. She was easy to talk to, quick to smile, smart and intelligent, and she brightened each moment. Makes me smile thinking of her! I can't help but think about how devoted the two of you were to each other and to your family. Wishing you comfort, strength and peace! You and your family will be in my prayers.

I'm impressed that the Wares purchased the Mackinac Island resort that used to be the campus for the first college that I attended (Mackinac College). Subsequently I worked in MD Anderson Hospital as a graduate student. I'm grateful that Ms. Ware was to find her way to Mackinac Island and hope that her dreams for this area are fulfilled.

Denny:
My heart goes out to you. You lost your partner. Someone who your hopes, fears and dreams are all wrapped into.
Suzanne was a lovely lady, you both added so much to Indy. So much so, that your presence was solely missed when you all moved to Texas.
God's speed and my wishes to you and the family.

When Suzanne first moved to San Antonio, it took a very short time for me to know that she was a very strong and intelligent woman who loved her family and gardening. She was a hands-on gardener and was a part of every little plan and plant that made her property a wondrous showplace. She went into detail about exactly how many bulbs she had planted while she lived in Indiana and how much she would miss the beauty. She didn't look back, however, but began telling me the plans for her new landscape. I know you all will miss her very much.

So sad to hear of Suzanne's passing! She was so gracious to open her beautiful gardens to the Garden Conservancy Tour in Hill Country Village and was delighted that so many people enjoyed seeing her gorgeous property. May she rest in peace and may her family have wonderful memories of her life well lived.
