Thomas Bowman Obituary

April 7, 1934 - February 20, 2016
Thomas M. Bowman of San Antonio, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016. He was born in Athens, Texas on April 7, 1934 to parents of Lonnie and Pearlie Jo Bowman. He attended Prairie View A&M University where he received his BA degree in Business Administration. His professional career began with his commission into the United States Army as a 2nd Lieutenant serving as Finance Officer. He ended his military career with the rank of Colonel. Stateside he worked for Atlanta Life Insurance, State farm Insurance and retired from USAA in 1991 as a Claims Auditor for 27 years. He is survived by his wife, Oweta and sons, Thomas Jr. and Kevin; 6 sisters and 3 brothers; 5 grandchildren. Visitation is on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

Funeral Service at 11:00 am at Second Baptist Church 3310 E. Commerce St. San Antonio, TX.

We will always have fond memories of Tom as our neighbor and friend. May he rest in peace and may Oweta, Thomas, Kevin and the rest of the family find comfort in knowing Tom is whole again. I'm sure Tom and Mom are enjoying catching up. Love up to all!
