Andy and I have such wonderful memories of times spent with Todd. He was part of a once-in-a-lifetime, amazing group of friends we shared in Houston. Todd had an unique gift for spreading joy, warmth, and love to all those around him. I think of that infectious smile and laugh that always brightened up the room. He was a dear friend, and his presence here on earth will be missed. Praise the Lord that he is now at peace, where we will all join him someday, and once again see that incredible smile. Linda, we love you and your precious kids, and will keep you in our prayers.

My condolences to all of the Markey family. Todd was such a positive and kind person. I worked at the same place as Todd for awhile and I got to see how willing and eager he was to help others. Todd always talked about his kids, he was so proud of them. Todd was also very helpful and good to my husband who was working with him. He was very giving of his knowledge and had some great and funny sayings. Todd always gave me a smile when he came in for work and a high five and made our office a happier place. I will miss Todd and I will continue to send prayers for the Markey family.

Todd was very generous person. He gave me several books to read on business which he had read, including "The Goal".
He also recommended I use a composition book to write my thoughts, goals, and daily tasks. I still use them to this day. Todd was very giving with his knowledge and wanted to help people be the best they could be. My life is richer for having known Todd.
I am sorry for the Markey family's loss. Todd was a giving, caring person. I was very sad to hear that he is no longer with us.

Dear Markey family and others:
Our condolences to you all.
Todd will be missed in our lives. First, he was a customer of ours, storing the shutters in our warehouse. He and Ben hit if off, and before too long, Ben hired him as CFO to help the warehouse business. Todd immediately took charge and helped the business get back on track. I quit my job and came to work with Todd. He was a very giving person, and would bring books to work for us to read. I learned alot under Todd. One of his favorite sayings was "Que serat, serat" or some version of that. Or "as a man thinks, as a man does". Always upbeat, smiling, and positive - that was Todd. Todd introduced us to many good people - Pete Petroski, Art Halpert, and several others who have helped us greatly. I will miss his cheery face, and asking "got a minute"? I know Todd had struggles, God knew too, and called him home for rest. So now Todd is resting and smiling and we are missing him, but one day we shall see him again. Thanks be to God.

Steve and I would like to express our sincere condolences to the entire Markey family. We remember the good times of fun and laughter. The days at AY and E&Y, pre-Markey kids and what Todd and Linda were to our children (Crystal, Cortney and Stephen). Todd was a true friend throughout. He will be missed. To Linda, Chris, Chad and Erin, please know that we are here for you...
Sincerely,
Steve and Gina

My greatest memory of Todd was back when Chad was in 6th grade and I was chosen to be the head coach for the 6th grade Aragon Patriots for the Cy-Fair Sports Associate Varsity Level. I chose Todd to be my Offensive Line Coach, Lance Seach to be DC and LB/secondary Coach and Steve Tate to coach the DL Defense. Our first meeting together as coaches, Todd stands up with a grin from ears to ears and said "David we are going to the super bowl and we are going to win the super bowl. We have the best players and we have the best coaching staff . . . mark my words" Well Todd was right we won the Cy-Fair Varsity Super Bowl!
Todd cam up to me before we were about head out of the locker room for the super bowl game, he gave me a big hug and looked me in the eyes and said "David I told your we were going to the super bowl, now take us home and lets go win this thing." Again he said this to me with a smile from ears to ears. "The Markey smile" as I would like to say.
God Bless the Markey family. I know the human side of me will miss Todd. But I know God is taking care of Todd and Todd has a big smile from ear to ear.
The Alston's will not be able to attend the memorial service for Todd on May the 10th. We already had our 3rd annual crawfish boil planned for up at our lake house on LBJ. If their was any way to come we would be there.
Love you guys and God Bless Y'all
