Tomas T. Carlin, Sr. went to be with our heavenly Father on October 2, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 104. He was born in San Antonio, Texas to Apolonio and Adelina Carlin on March 28, 1917. He is preceded in passing by his parents; his loving wife Elida; and brothers, Domingo and Gonzalo Carlin; daughter, Micaela Sanchez, and grandson, Eric C. Martinez. Tomas is survived by his daughters, Linda Carlin (Henry), Adelina Baiza; sons, Thomas Carlin Jr (Song Ae), Domingo Carlin (Diana), Victor Carlin (Mike); grandchildren, Yvonne Carlin, Thomas Carlin III, Andrea Rose Vega, Brandon Domingo Carlin, Philip C. Martinez, Sylvia Spangler, Victor Baiza II, Paul Anthony Baiza-Vigil; numerous great, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Prior to a long career at Kelly AFB, Tomas was an active member of the US Army and proudly served his country during WWII in the Pacific theatre. The family would like to give a special thanks to his Embrace Hospice nurses, Cherry Portillo and Martha Vasquez for the wonderful care they provided to our father. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Mission Park South with a prayer service to be held at 6:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Interment with military honors to follow at Mission Burial Park South.
