Al was a lifelong friend. We were neighbors, and in our teens were active in our Church and Youth Group. We were a close group and still stay in touch. The last time we were all together was at his house for a Pot Luck. We were all friends throughout our life.
Al was a special person, he was the Patriarch of his family. Everyone looked up to him and valued his opinions. Stevie and him were perfect for each other and I know he missed her very much. They are both with the Lord now and will spend eternity together.

As a loyal and fellow Flotilla member of the Coronado Flotilla of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, we who knew him are saddened to hear of his passing. Al was a pleasure, and fun member to serve with, and his enduring smile will be with us always.
