chuck is one of those energies that no matter how far away he might be from you - even in another space - he is right there with you when you need to hear his words, when he lends a sympathetic ear, when he puts himself out there for you to be you, and when he makes you laugh so hard you pee your pants. my thoughts and prayers to your family chuck.

I've known Chuck and Jody since the "DC Days"........Chuck was always quck with a quote, fast with a joke, and a genuine person to be with - either at dinner or just to chat over a drink. He will be missed mightily

I met Chuck and Jody when they first moved to San Diego. "Chuckster" was witty, kind, and a GREAT listener. He was Jody's rock, and they complemented each other greatly. Chuck and Jody were lucky to have each other and were lucky enough to know it. Children speak volumes about their parents and Chuck's daughters were ladies through and through. I am honored I had the privilege to meet him, I am a better person for it. Thank You Chuck and Godspeed!

The Passing Parade:
Charles, was named after his maternal grandfather, Charles Wittwer. He inherited many of the traits of his grandfather and enjoyed traveling, being with friends, and watching the growth and development of his daughters with great love and pride. The pioneering spirit of his grandparents (They participated in the great Oklahoma land opening) was evident in my brother. He designed and built the family home at 7200 Peninsula Drive and was at his finest when "pioneering" new residence designs and seeing the concept through to completion.
Charles was my brother and continuing the march in this parade of life will not be the same without him. He will be sorely missed.

To Those I Love

If I should ever leave you,
Whom I love
To go along the silent way. . .
Grieve not.
Nor speak of me with tears.
But laugh and talk of me
As if I were beside you there.

(I'd come. . .I'd come,
Could I but find a way!
But would not tears and
And grief be barriers?)

And when you hear a song
Or see a bird I loved,
Please do not let the thought of me
Be sad. . .for I am loving you
Just as I always have. . .

You were so good to me!
There are so many things
I wanted still to do. . .
So many things I wanted to say
to you. . . Remember that
I did not fear. . . It was
Just leaving you
That was so hard to face.

We cannot see beyond. . .
But this I know:
I loved you so. . .
'twas heaven here with you!
