To Heather's Family,

I can only imagine the unspeakable sorrow you must feel at losing your precious child.

I was a customer at Cheers and want you to know that Heather made quite an impression on me. She recognized me over the phone and each time I went in. She knew how I liked my order and would often double check to assure that it was just right. She was very conscientious, thoughtful and such a kind person.

When she first put out her container to collect for the Diabetes Walk, she asked if I would be interested in contributing. I told her "yes," and each time I went in after that I made another donation. One day the container was no longer on the counter. I asked where it was and she said it was behind the counter at the cash register. I made her get it out each time I went in so I could add to the funds she was raising. I thought it was amazing that such a young person would be so committed to raising funds. She never told me she had diabetes and I never would have known. She appeared to be the picture of good health.

She was a remarkable young woman. I'm sure you were very proud of her and the person she was. I just wanted you to know that other people who knew her through her work, admired her, respected her and we all surely miss her. She was a lovely young lady.

Rest in peace, sweet Heather.

Our dear niece Heather... Your courage and fortitude was a shining beacon we hoped would bring you all you desired. We will miss your energy, your smiles, your beauty, your voice, which spoke with such conviction and those arms which always cradled with hugs, appreciation and love.
You will remain in our hearts forever,
Aunt Marlene and Uncle Tom

We will miss you dearly, Heather

This is one guest book we wish we didn't have to see with your name on it. Heaven is lucky to have an angel like you and we are glad that we had the chance to know you. Although you are greatly missed down here, please know that you will forever be remembered in the hearts of those who love you as the loving, caring and wonderful young woman you were. We were all touched by your personality and know that as an angel in Heaven, you will be looking over and keeping safe those you loved so dearly.

Thank you for the 18 years you gave us, we are sorry it couldn't have been longer.

Thank you, Heather, for being the beautiful, sweet girl while you were with us. Luke and Jack will miss you very much and will always remember how much you loved them. Each night I will look in the sky to find your star - it will be the brightest in the heavens.

For years to come the stars will run

from blazing sun each day.

A Fable told, a Life grows cold,

and dreams are swept away.

Though we may fight throughout the night,

a distant Light may call,

like wooden mast and walls held fast,

one day at last we fall.

But fear not Sleep nor thoughts help deep,

a Pain we keep inside -

For dawn will wake and Day may break,

as life we take in stride.
