Aunt Pauline was indeed the "cool" aunt! Maybe it was because of her place on the beach or maybe it was her beautiful caring face when she gave you her complete attention while she inquired about your life. I don't ever remember hearing her raise her voice or hearing her speak negatively about anyone or anything. She was just that sort of human. I can hear her voice now amid the Romanian chatter when all the aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins got together. It is a beautiful memory of a loving and successful immigrant family that sustains me to this day and Aunt Pauline was a diamond in the clan.

One of the sweetest, most gentle of souls I have ever met. I know you rest in paradise, now. You will be missed here.

I feel very fortunate to have had such a wonderful aunt in my life. In many ways a role model of how to be a successful, independent, working female. She was the "cool" aunt with the beachfront apartment in beautiful San Diego and we were always welcome to come stay with her. Then she married Donn and they had the "cool" pool. I think Pauline loved the water, rather it be at the beach to try out surfing or at the pool to swim. She was a very kind, gentle, giving soul and she will be missed greatly in our family. Love you Aunt Pauline.

Dear Aunt Pauline, I was so lucky to have an aunt like you. You were a real life Mary Tyler Moore. You lived by yourself in the big city of San Diego, in an apartment on the beach, and had a career as a probation officer. You inspired me and encouraged me when I told you I wanted a career in law enforcement. You knew it would have unlimited possibilities for me. I watched, as you were a kind and compassionate daughter to both of your parents as they aged. Often you would take your hard earned vacation time to care for them. I was honored when you asked me to be your Maid of Honor at your and Donn's wedding. In the 36 years together, you traveled all over the world, and I'm sure became a good-will ambassador to all you met. I am sad about your passing, but you had been in pain for sometime now, so now you are in peace with the Lord and all the loved ones who have passed before you. RIP. Niece Cindy

Pauline was a dear friend whom I missed very much once she was no longer able to be active in the San Carlos United Methodist Church activities. She was an active worker in the Church Library Committee, valued in the Women's Friday Prayer Breakfast Group and a vital part of our United Methodist Women Circle. Love, Della Cole, (619) 292 2334
