Warmest sympathies to the Kocher family... I was lucky to have known the good doctor as an English student at LMU. He will be missed. Doubtless, he was my favorite teacher, both engaging and understanding at a time in my life when I needed both. If you knew me then, Carpe diem indeed. I got to know Tori and Dean, where it became clear to me immediatly then that he was an excellent father as well. He could have had no way of knowing the impact he had on me both then and afterwards, but I'm guessing he does now. Rest in Peace Doc. I'm pretty sure they have dancing in heaven. Black labs too.
