To Bob's Family and Friends,

It's still hard to believe that Bob is gone. We noted he wasn't making many of our runs over the last several months so he was missed well before his passing. God rest his soul and give peace to his family. We are grateful for the many times he was with us on trail.

I found Bob to be both a man of fine character and quite "character". He brightened our lives with his humorous postings on line and was someone whose opinion was valued. We will miss him. May God grant his family peace.

Like many others, I only knew Bob online and by email. But that was enough to know that he was a rare breed, a man whose wisdom, vitality, and opinions were to be cherished. The writing community has lost a treasured friend.

I'll miss you, Bob.

My deepest condolences to his family.

My deepest condolences to Bob's family and close friends. I knew him only through some on-line writers' sites, but that alone was a blessing. I hope he realized in what high esteem he was held by us all who were fortunate enough to share his thoughts. May God bless you all.

Dear Sally,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Although I only knew Bob through his posting on the writer's board, Backspace, the beauty of his soul and the love he had for his family was evident. He was a kind and generous person, always willing to share and encourage his fellow writers. I am deeply saddened by his passing.

Bob, we first met in cyberspace when we worked on your contribution to the "WritersNet Anthology of Prose," which I edited. For the two years following that I genuinely enjoyed and benefited from your many postings on various Internet discussion boards and followed your development into being a published author with great interest. Particularly enjoyed our exchanges over contrasting vineyard crawls in California and Virginia. You were a great guy and we will feel the loss in the writing world.

I knew Bob via several online writers' forums. Although I never met him in person, I felt I knew him and got to see Bob working hard at something he loved. Not only was he an accomplished writer in his own right, Bob always gave time and considerable thought to helping other writers through their struggles, both writing-related and non. Bob was always kind, and so generous. It is with great sadness that I hear this news about his passing.

Bob Kellogg was a class act who defined the word 'gentleman.' Blessings and peace to his family.

Never enough time, LIFE as we know it is far too short. May the running trails be "short and flat" and the beer "sweet" where you are. ON ON

Robert was a big brother I never had. Susan and I were best friends...as were our parents. I still have a framed pencil sketch Robert drew of me when I was 10 years old. I am sorry for his family's loss.
