Dr Nemiroff was a supportive and wise mentor and great teacher to all of us who were residents at the UCSD Dept of Psychiatry. Dr Nemiroff's kindness and sense of humor were personal qualities we appreciated. Sitting with my fellow residents in Dr and Mrs Nemiroff's comfortable living room for journal clubs were a time of respite during our arduous psychiatry training, and will always be remembered.

Bob was truly a mentor, an excellent instructor, a good friend and a role model. We enjoyed the time we had to spend with him and Barbara and will miss him very much.

We were so shocked and saddened by the news of Bob's passing. He was a love of a man, a kind friend to my parents and always bright and younger than his years. Our love and condolences to dear Barbara and family. Willa Kligerman and Steve Moe

Dr Nemiroff was a wonderful teacher and supervisor. I learned so much from him early in my career, things that have stayed with me for many decades. I am ever grateful for his work and help.

I did not know Bob had died until I read his obit. We were not close friends but I really liked and admired him. Our family trip to Mike's Sky ranch with your family soon after we both moved to La Jolla remains one of my favorite memories. If there is anything we can do to help let me know. Norma sends her love.

He was so inviting, nice and impressive in 1994 during my interview process that he was the reason I came to UCSD. I'll forever be grateful.

It was truly a sad moment to read todays obituaries and find the news that Bob had passed away.
He was one of the kindest, most gentle, and caring person I have ever had the privilege to know. I am so sorry I had not spent more time in his warm, gracious company.
I wish for his lovely wife Barbara and his daughters solace in this time of loss. The world has lost the type of person that it surely needs, especially so these days.
I will always fondly remember him, with a warm feeling every time I think of him.
With love,
Paul
