STEVEN ANNIBALI Obituary

ANNIBALI Sr., STEVEN N. Steven N. Annibali, Sr., passed away peacefully on March 6, 2010, at Garden Manor in Poway. He was born April 17, 1924, in Darien, New York and served in the U.S. Army during World WarII and fought at the invasion of Normandy. He retired from Solar Turbines as a machinist after 27 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sylvia; daughter, Brenda Smith; son, Steven Jr., and step-daughter Sharon Schmidt; grandchildren John Barnes, Jr., Christina Higgins, Michael Annibali and David Schmidt and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday, March 12, 2010, 1:00 p.m., with viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Poway-Bernardo Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow at El Camino Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Elizabeth Hospice or the Alz-heimer's Association, alz.org. Poway-Bernardo Mortuary in service to the family.

It was an honor to know Steve. He was one of the greatest generation who fought bravely for his country in the European theater. He was a humble man who loved his family, especially his children, loved his home and garden and always spoke well of others. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Our hearts are broken about the loss of Uncle Steve. He will be deeply missed. He is no longer suffering. Now, he is rejoicing with the angels, his friends, parents and siblings that have gone before him.
May you all find comfort knowing he is in a better place, in the loving arms of the Lord.
