Suzanne Lindquist Obituary

Suzanne Sue' Lindquist March 22, 1930 - December 9, 2015 Rancho Bernardo Suzanne (Sue) Lindquist passed away on December 9, 2015 in San Diego, California. She was born on March 22, 1930 in Albion, Michigan, the daughter of Hubert and Rowena Howe. Married for 65 years to Robert (Bob) Lindquist, Sue lived in a suburb of Chicago, with her husband and children, for 36 years. She graduated from Michigan State University in 1950 with high honors and a degree in Education, and then worked as a Middle School teacher and substitute teacher for 20 years. Sue and Bob retired to the Rancho Bernardo area of San Diego in 1986, to be near children and grandchildren. She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority and the Assistance League of Escondido. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, while she also enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafting, reading and writing. She was preceded in death by daughter Nancy Lindquist-Duzynski. Survivors include husband Robert (Bob) Lindquist, daughter Karen Barnhart (son-in-law Kevin Barnhart), son Rob Lindquist and grandchildren Daniel Barnhart, Allison Gray, Ryan Barnhart and Emily Lindquist. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Casa de las Campanas in Rancho Bernardo. Memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society or National Alzheimer's Association.
